How Does it Work?
"The highest ideal of therapy is to restore health rapidly, gently and permanently" - Samuel Hahnemann 1755-1843 (Founder of Homeopathy).
Our bodies are such complex machines! They are a complicated web of biological systems made up from multiple components and processes such as the skeletal, muscular and nervous systems as well as cardiovascular, digestive, respiratory and nervous system to name just a few.
From time to time, our body informs us that something requires our attention. It does this by creating a physical, mental or emotional disharmony within itself as a form of SOS. The hardest part is to listen, figure out what these signs are telling us and finally, how to return harmony to the mind, body and spirit.
“By similar things a disease is produced and through the application of the like is cured.”
Hippocrates (460-377 BC), Father of Medicine.
The word ‘homeopathy’ is derived from the Greek words 'homeo' (omio) meaning similar, and 'pathos' meaning suffering. Homeopathy is therefore a health system that encourages and stimulates the body's own ability to heal, recover and restore from illness, using a basic system of like healing like.
This is achieved by matching the symptoms and energy of the patient to the corresponding remedy or remedies; thereby, stimulating our own innate healing source whether it be physical, mental or emotional issues. Homeopathy takes illness and disharmony from a complete and whole approach, meaning that the body and mind are not separate, they are as one.
Our work together will start with a full consultation, in person or via Zoom, to establish what is currently presenting and causing disharmony within your body or mind. I will then go on to analyse your case and work to prescribe an individualised and personalised treatment plan to help you back to a place of well-being. This can be done over a single treatment plan or it can run over a period of time for long standing illnesses.
